India is celebrating its 71st Independence Day on 15th August 2017 and it gives a great sense of gratification to be born on such a culturally rich soil. We the Indians are proud to be a citizen of a free country having its largest democracy in the world.

Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at SEHS School. The ceremony started at 8 am in the school ground with large crow of staff, students and Management members.

Dr Chandramauli Adep and other management members were present at lamp lightening ceremony and was followed by flag hoisting ceremony. NCC parade was performed on the ground. Students participated in patriotic songs, speeches. A prize distribution ceremony was closure of the programme. Rankers of 2016-17 were given prizes. SSC achievers were felicitated on this day. Winners of Thai Boxing were awarded with prizes. The programme was concluded with School song presented by Keyuvr Sir at the end. The closing of the programmed was marked up by distributing biscuits among the students.

Indeed, it was a  day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and unity in diversity.
