Menstrual Hygiene management is a subject of ‘Silence’ and discussion of the topic among women or even between mother and daughter is very limited. Menstruation is very important natural body process among women or girls which cannot be avoided. But lacking basic education and health knowledge, it becomes difficult for girls to comprehend the long term effect of poor menstrual hygiene. Awareness at the right age can make a big difference in the betterment of their health and hygiene. At, SEHS it was decided to spread awareness among the girls students a programme was conducted by FPA(Family Planning Association) by Awa Bai Wadia under the able guidance of Sunanada Gavali and Dr. Madhavi Gaikwad (Gynecologist). The lecture was conducted with a friendly environment among students. Students were also made understand about Good Touch and Bad Touch. Students feel free to ask question. The programme ended by giving vote of thanks to all.
On 15th October 2018, SEHS celebrated ‘Vachan Prerna Diwas’ also called as ‘No School Bag Day’ as a mark of respect and to pay homage to our former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam who loved reading and writing. This day is observed so that children understand the importance of reading and students are encouraged to develop as a hobby. Students were engaged in reading, and reading related activities the whole day.
On 2nd Oct 2018, the whole nation was celebrating birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri. This day has become symbolic of Cleanliness Drive in the country or also called as Swachh Bharat Mission initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. SEHS also celebrated with two different ways of work on the eve with Swachhta Abinay by cleaning school premises and Cleanliness & Awareness Rally in the locality. The school organized Cleanliness drive under Swachh Bharat Swasth Bharat Abhiyaan Programme. The main purpose of this programme was to create awareness among the students regarding Cleanliness and its benefits. Our Prinicpal started the programme by cleaning the corners of the playground. The teachers and followed suit. Some of them picked brooms and started cleaning. Some of the students started picking up wrappers, papers, leaf and shoes scattered there. After collecting them they threw them in to the dustbins. After doing this students were given refreshment in the form of biscuits. The programme was marched by an Awareness Rally spreading the importance of Health and Hygiene among the society. CRC Kendra Pramukh Shri Sanjay Bhoir gave their precious time for the rally which nourished the motivation of students and teachers.
