Prime Minister of India launched Swach Bharat Mission on 2nd October 2014.The mission was to achieve Swach Bharat by 2019 as a fitting tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary. Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB) is responsible for various outreach activities of Govt of India and has to reach out to people with awareness campaigns for various plan, policies and flagship schemes of govt ROB carries. Taking Swachh Bharat campaigns even great height. ROB organize MahaSwachhta Rally simultaneously on 29 urban areas on 11th & 12th January of 2019 through involvement of school in the rallies. SEHS students participated in rallies with an ease and pride. Students took participation in MahaSwachhta Abhiyan by drawing pictures, taking Swachhta Pledge and maintain cleanliness in class and school environment.
As a part of the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ a rally was taken out by school students to sensitise people in Manpur area of Surguja district. A cleanliness drive was also carried out in all development blocks and district headquarters on the occasion, officials said.
The students led by the teachers carried placards displaying messages to sensitise people about cleanliness. The drive was carried out in middle schools of Medrakala and Khairbar villages besides degree colleges of Ambikapur. Students as well as teachers participated with enthusiasm in the cleanliness drive.
During the drive at the district hospital premises, Mayor Prabodh Minj, Speaker of Municipal Corporation Trilok Kushwaha, Municipal Commissioner AK Haldar, Civil Surgeon Dr AK Jaiswal and other officers besides employees and the general public swept the floors to create awareness among the people regarding importance of cleanliness.
