- Welcome to Animation: Understand that we’re going to make a cool animation using Wick Editor.
- Finding Wick Editor: Type “Wick Editor” into your web browser and go to the first link.
- Starting Up: Click on “Launch Web Editor” to begin.
🖌️ Step 2: Understanding the Interface 🎨
- Meet Your Canvas: This is where you’ll create your animation. It’s like your digital paper.
- Tools Galore: Learn about the tools. There’s a brush, eraser, fill tool, colour picker, and more.
- The Mighty Cursor: Use the cursor to select and move things around.
- Layers and Frames: Understand that animations are made up of frames, like a flipbook.
🛠️ Step 3: Setting Up Your Project 🎞️
- Frames Per Second (FPS): Set your project to 12 FPS. This means 12 images (frames) will show every second to make your animation.
- Clean Slate: Delete any extra frames you don’t need.
✏️ Step 4: Drawing Your Animation 🖍️
- First Frame Fun: Draw a ball on the first frame using the ellipse tool.
- Moving On: Go to the next frame to draw the ball a little lower, as if it’s falling.
🧅 Step 5: Bounce It! 🏀
- Keep It Going: Continue drawing the ball frame by frame, moving it down and then up, like it’s bouncing.
- Checking Your Work: Use the slider to preview your animation’s flow.
🔍 Step 6: Navigating Your Space 🌐
- Panning Around: Learn how to move around your canvas with the panning tool.
- Zoom and Re Enter: Use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out, and the re-enter button to reset your view.
👁️🗨️ Step 7: Preview and Save 💾
- Preview Play: Click on preview play to watch your bouncing ball come to life.
- Export Your Masterpiece: Save your animation. You can choose different formats, but save it as a .wick file to easily open it again in Wick Editor
